Today's Agenda:
Warm-Up & Vocal Flexing:
THE NAME MONOLOGUES: a choice for one published or an original to perform EITHER YOU WILL:
Improvisation Work:
1)Scenes from Images--
3 minutes to create, then you will perform, and show the image (muse) to your audience
2) Sit, Stand, Lean
Audience gives characters, setting, and situation for 3 actors to explore, BUT one must be standing, one leaning, and one sitting at all times and these positions MUST change. Actors will need to "set up" each other/help build by saying lines that allow others to move and change position.
Activity/Skill Work:
THE NAME MONOLOGUES: a choice for one published or an original to perform EITHER YOU WILL:
- Finish brainstorm, review a few professional monologues for ideas & then draft/type up the original monologue (first person POV), using the elements from the brainstorm
- Finish typing the character questions and begin to memorize the character monologue, using the questions to guide the creation of a character voice and body language as you memorize---DO NOT READ IT IN YOUR VOICE, PLEASE
ASSESSMENT & TIMELINE
Monologues are due for annotation & peer feedback on Friday
Monologues will be performed for assessment on Tuesday--that means memorized, in special location & with body movement
