Agenda: Thursday, August 14, 2014

Today's Agenda:

Warm-Up & Vocal Flexing:
Improvisation Work:
All of these improv games will require 3 suggestions from the audience before the actors begin:
  • relationship of the two actors  (be specific)
  • setting of the scene (specific time and specific place)
  • basic conflict to explore
1.Puppets
4 players.  Two will act out a scene non-verbally while the other two say the dialogue aloud. Then switch.
2. Foreign Film/Subtitles
4 players.  Two will act out a scene in gibberish or a foreign-sounding language while the other two will translate each line, acting as human subtitles. Then switch.
3. Deaf Recall
4 players. Two act out a scene, using VERY large and specific movements. Two others watch from the window with their ears covered.  When done, the watchers re-enact the same scene with the words they think were used and the same movements. Discuss if they were close to the original.
